Gym time

Last Saturday we all headed over to Gymnastics Unlimited for their open gym.  This was BC's first time being there...I think he had fun:)  It was nice to be able to sit and watch the two big guys jump, swing and play.  Conall had a lot of fun crawling around and pulling himself up on everything.  Declan's new thing is jumping off of things (mostly the couch), so he was able to do a lot of that here:) 

7 months

Little Conall D is 7 months old!  He's sporting two bottom teeth now, weighing in at about 19 pounds and is riding in a big guy car seat:)  Oh and he's on the move, big time!  He's figured out how to coordinate his little hands and knees and is now a crawler.  Which of course Declan isn't too thrilled with because now anything that he has out goes directly in Conall's mouth...we hear "don't eat that Conall" quite a bit!  We've tried some solids with him, but like his brother he hasn't shown too much interest.  He seems to like hummus and pears, but not often.  I think we'll move on to table food and skip the purees.  He's still taking 2-3 naps a day, depending on the day and has given us at least one 4-5 hour stretch at night for the last few nights (we're hoping he keeps that up!).  Conall is a happy little guy with such an sweet smile:)  We love you boo 2! 

2 years + 7 months

Oh Declan B, our boo...could you be any more of a 2 year old little boy?  He is just so full of energy, imagination and surprise these days.  Declan No Sleep, as he has been called, no longer takes a nap!  Which means he is finally in bed and asleep before 10 pm, but also means he occasionally falls asleep (see above picture).  He loves to help me cook or bake, I think he just like to smell all of the ingredients and stand on a chair in the kitchen:)  Santa brought him a Mickey Mouse that now goes everywhere with him, along with puppy of course!  Speaking of Mickey Mouse...that's all he wants to watch, everyday and would watch it all day long if we let him.  He's been doing a great job of pooping in the potty, I think we're getting close to officially starting potty training (please keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer for us...should be a fun time)!  Declan is so sweet when Conall goes to bed, he gives him a hug and kiss and tells him he loves him, now if he would only share and be nice to him during the day.  He's getting more independent everyday, which is awesome, but it takes a lot longer to get dressed or undressed around here:)  The ABC's are a favorite song of his along with Where is Thumpkin:)  He's always been a healthy eater, but it just keeps getting better.  We ask him what he wants for lunch..."turkey sandwich and cheese" and for dinner "chicken, noodles and broccoli".  Tonight he had 4 bowls of vegetables!  He loves cooked carrots:)  We can't believe he's on his way to 3, it's such a fun (and exhausting) time though...love you boo!

Oh, Conall D we are just not ready for you to be this mobile!  We moved his crib mattress down to the next lower level now that he can pull himself up and the gate is going up by the stairs once again:)  Doesn't he look so proud of himself though?!
