Easter 2014

Happy Easter!  The boys woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had visited our house!  He hid the eggs we left for him and left clues for them to find their baskets:)  It didn't take them long to find the eggs or their baskets!

Their baskets were filled with chocolate, jelly beans, band aids and Despicable Me 2!  Sugar for breakfast only happens on this day!
We had to take our family Easter pictures before heading off to mass.
We're so blessed to have these handsome (and bit silly) little boys as ours!
After mass we went to Gram and Grandad's for brunch, an egg hunt (more sugar) and day spent outside:)  It couldn't have been a more beautiful day!

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday morning we headed up to Bishop Chatard for their Easter Egg Hunt!  The boys got to see the Easter Bunny and had a lot of fun collecting eggs with their friends:)  After hunting eggs we went inside for donuts, crafts and games.  It was a wonderful start to our Easter weekend.
Declan and his buddies Aidan and Tatum.
 Conall found a golden egg!
 Galvan taking it all in.

Bring it Spring

This transition from winter to spring has been just silly!  But we're ready for spring, oh who am I kidding, I'm ready for summer!  Here's what we've been up these last couple of weeks...
Conall has been helping by prepping the garden!
Declan and Conall made marshmallow and gumdrop architectures:)  Surprisingly they didn't eat as many as they built with!

We had plenty of art time!

Declan, who is now a basketball fanatic, made posters for his favorite teams in between the games!  He had Wichita State winning it all, he couldn't believe they lost!

We had our first cook out!
And this little guy got a new helmet!
All the boys love "Happy"!
This is all he has been doing, even in the rain!

Dad's Night

Last night was Dad's Night at Conall's school and let me tell you, this little guy was so, so excited..."Declan not coming to my school, Galvan not coming to my school and you not coming to my school, just dad!", he told me yesterday:)  Conall even had dad's "smell good" on!  At Dad's Night they went through their morning routine, the dads had to guess which "All About My Dad" poster their child made (BC guessed right!), had cookies and made some crafts.  I think they both had an awesome time and I really can't get over how handsome my guys are:)

march madness

Last week after church BC set up his old Nintendo for the boys!  We can't believe it still works!  But the boys have had fun trying to figure out Super Mario Brothers:)  Little do they know this is the only video game they will ever have in our house!
The Big Ten Tournament was in town last week and BC took Declan down to the final game on Sunday:)  Declan was rooting for Michigan State and they won!
Monday was St. Patrick's Day and even though it was only 20 degrees out, we went downtown for the parade!  BC met up with us, so we could all be cold and celebrate our Irishness together:)  Galvan kept taking off his mittens so he could pick up treats, both boys came home with a nice swag bag of treats!

winter soccer

This winter Declan attended a soccer training league at FC Pride Soccer.  It was once a week and they really focused on kicking, passing and drills.  Declan did great and really enjoyed it:)
Here he is getting some coaching and a high five from former IU coach Jerry!
Of course the little brothers were there to watch and learn too!

LA trip

Last week BC and I headed out west to our old home of Los Angeles!  LA had the most rain it's had in the last 3 years, but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful time.  We got in late Wednesday night and the weather was super on Thursday, we were able to go for a run, ride bikes down to the farmers market for lunch and hang out at the beach:)

That evening I met up with the ladies I used to teach with, it's been so long since we've been together and it was awesome to catch up with Theresa, Megan, Susie and Ruthy!
Later that night we had dinner at C & O's (BC and I had our first date there) with Seamus and Danielle.  BC was so happy to have his favorite dish, Spinacci!

Friday morning we went to mass at my old school and were able to see some of the students from my last class...they're 8th graders now! It rained pretty much all day, but we didn't mind as we spent the day at Baja Cantina drinking margarita's and eating chips and salsa with Seamus!
Later that evening (it was still raining) we attended Lauren and Rob's rehearsal dinner (their wedding was the reason for our trip) at Michael's in Santa Monica.
Saturday morning we headed to Redondo Beach to have breakfast with my old room mate, Jessy and her family.  BC met Jessy first (thanks to Bill, who studied abroad with her) and then he introduced us and we lived together for a few years before she got married.  Bill and his wife Kara (and little Hudson) just happened to be visiting LA too, so we were all able to get together...and if you didn't know, Bill is the one who introduced BC and me!  The cute little girl is Jessy's daughter Taylor, her little boy, Keller, did not want in the picture!
Saturday afternoon was Lauren and Rob's wedding at Shutters on the Beach, it was a very sweet ceremony (inside due to the rain) and beautiful reception.
Before heading home on Sunday, we went back down to the beach for breakfast and one last walk out on the pier.  The waves were unbelievable!  It was such a great trip and thank you to Ya Ya and Pop Pop for keeping our boys while were gone:)
