December Happenings

It has been a busy couple of weeks leading up to Christmas!
Declan had his Christmas program at school...he did so well along with all of the other kids:)
We headed to the Children's Museum to have a visit with Santa...Look!  No one is crying!  Galvan loved seeing Santa this year, even told him what he wanted...trucks and blocks!  The boys had a ton of fun playing in Jolly Days and we of course did the Yule Slide a couple of times:)

According to G, reindeer are called reindudes!

Declan and his Louisville team have had a rough go this season, but they are not discouraged and we're all hoping for a win soon!

We went downtown to the Circle of Lights to mail our letters to Santa and pick out some chocolate, this is something we do every year, it's one of my favorite things:)

#2 is out!

The second bottom tooth is out!  Once again I pulled out, I'm getting really good at this:)  I don't think any others are loose right now, so it might be awhile before the Tooth Fairy visits!

yuletide 2014

Last week we attended the Yuletide Celebration at the Hilbert Circle Theatre with BC's work. Little Galvan stayed home as it was a long night and we're pretty sure he would not have sat through any of the performance! The two big guys were so excited to Santa, get their faces painted, get balloon hats and eat all the yummy food!  Elsa, Anna and Olaf where even there!  It was such a fun night, next year Galvan will get to come:)

Sprinting Deer

This week Conall's, I mean, Sprinting Deer's class had a Pow Wow to show us all they have been learning about the past two weeks.  He really enjoyed the Native American unit...he made a talking stick, a rain stick, journey pouch complete with journey corn bread, a head dress and Indian dress along with a beaded necklace!  But I think his favorite part was the face paint!

With his buddies Will and Nolan.

1st lost tooth

Monday night before basketball practice (and after a spaghetti dinner...notice he's wearing it) Declan lost his first tooth!  It had been wiggly for awhile, but before dinner I wiggled it and told him it would be really soon...after washing his hands he had me try again and with 2 little pulls, out it came!  He was so excited to put it under his pillow and came into our room at 6 am to show his $2 the tooth fairy left!

Boo, Boo, Boo!

Here's our American Ninja Warrior and two Firemen that braved the cold, wet, rain, sleet and eventually snow filled Halloween night!  It was totally worth it though, their buckets were full!

October Round Up!

Here's a look at what happened this past month...
These two play "football/rough house/wrestling" all of the time.

The boys helped me celebrate my birthday:)
Our baby fell asleep after swimming.
Conall learned how to do headstands on the chair!
Declan and team Mexico made it to the semi-finals in their tournament.
 Brothers:)
We carved our pumpkin while watching Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin.  Declan thinks it should be called Linus and the Great Pumpkin since he's the one looking for it, I kind of agree!

These two tough fireman went to the Haunted House at The Children's Museum.

our baby

...in a box, watching Sesame Street.  Life is good.

kicks and headers

Declan and Conall have only 3 weeks left of soccer!  They have both played well this season...Conall has shown a little more aggressiveness (maybe just a tiny bit, but it still counts) and has come so close to scoring.  Declan has held his own in the older league, you can tell him he's 2 years younger and 2 head shorter than most of the players, but I doubt it would matter...he gets in there so much!  He's had about a handful of "headers" and is quite proud of them:)  Here's a few pictures of the Grape Crush and team Mexico.
 He's getting in there!

 He and his buddy Will:)
Right in the middle of it.

Look at him take on that big kid!
And this right after the header!
