Pumpkins!

We had a busy Thursday night of scooping out the goo and carving our pumpkins! As usual, I drew the faces on the pumpkins and dad got all the gross insides out. This year Declan picked a funny face for his big pumpkin and kitty cat for Conall's little pumpkin. Declan liked watching dad cut the pumpkins and pop out the big pieces. Of course lighting the candles inside the pumpkins was the best part. It was a little hard getting a good picture of both the boys with their pumpkins, Declan is trying to keep Conall from falling over!  And the night ended with the annual watching of Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin!

measuring up

I guess when you're the little brother this is what the big brother gets to do!  Declan used his "measure" to see how long Conall was the other night:)

Boo's boos

This evening we made ghosts!  Thanks to dad's old undershirts, plastic Easter eggs, yarn and a sharpie:)  Here's Dec counting them!
This one says "Boo"!

He's got all 8 of them!

And here they are, in our front trees!

300!

This is the 300th post on the familyoforourke blog!!  I figured it had to be a good one, so here goes...
After Declan woke up the other day (the bed head day) I met him at the stairs with Conall, for some reason Conall started laughing and every time Declan would hold up his puppy he'd laugh some more.  Here's what I was able to get (sorry for the poor angles, I was holding Conall).  His laugh cracks us up, he sounds like a pterodactyl dinosaur!

Here's what Declan looked like when he woke up from his nap the other day:)

Conall's 4 month stats

Conall had his 4 month check up today and weighs in at 15 lbs and 6 oz and is 25 inches long (59th percentile and 51st percentile)!  He's a healthy, happy little guy:)

4 months

Our boo 2 is 4 months old today!  He's growing like crazy and developing so well.  He started to roll over a few weeks ago and just like his brother he goes from back to tummy:)  He doesn't mind being on his tummy like Declan did.  He's a squirmy little guy too, giving him a bath is like a workout for me!  He's started to grip and grab toys.  Conall loves when Dec sits in front of him and shows him his toys or shares his "cookies" (Declan pretends to feed him).  He's an eater though, about every 2 /12 to 3 hours during the day and some nights he'll do a 4 hour stretch.  Still taking good naps during the day though, which is surprising to me since we are out and about so much.  He goes for his 4 month check up on Wednesday so I'll post his stats then.  We are loving his smiles and laughs:)  Love you boo 2!!
Conall's on top:)

2 years + 4 months

Our boo is one awesome guy!  He is just such a blast these days...he's the funniest guy we know and so loving too.  His new thing is to say "Mama do this" and then he'll do or say something silly and want me to do it too.  It's normally some sort of sound or a little hop and a skip.  And if we don't understand what he's saying he'll look at us and say it really slow and strung out as if we don't know English.  He's still singing and working on his ABC's.  He knows Q to Z perfectly!  We've really been enjoying the warm October with trips to the park and walks.  He loves his weekly play dates with Lizzy, Mary and Tessa.  I'm pretty sure he'll eat waffles for breakfast for the rest of his life:)  He can make Conall smile and laugh better than we can, which I think is pretty awesome...he's such a great big brother.  He's really liking school and goes right in and starts playing when I drop him off.  I love seeing his little face light up when it's time to get picked up:)  Still reading the same three books at night, I've been trying to introduce new ones, but he loves those three!  Ever since dad had a mustache for uncle Kienan's bachelor party he's talked about "dirty mustache" (I think he heard me call BC's mustache dirty).  He'll put a crayon or string cheese up to his mouth and say "dirty mustache", it's quite funny, but he now notices men everywhere we go and will point and say "dirty mustache"...he found 3 "dirty mustache's" at the market the other day!  Oh boo, you make us smile and laugh everyday...love you!

Children's Museum

This morning I took the boys to the Children's Museum (thanks to an early Christmas present...going to love having the pass).  Declan really got into the trains of course!

He liked the penguin and polar bear exhibit too, especially because there were lots of buttons to push!
Here's our little polar bear:)

He loved the race car too!

Playing in the sand...I don't mind it because it stays there!

Driving the "tractor"!

Conall was awake for most of it and liked being in the stroller for the most part, but I don't know how long he'll be okay with sitting, the boy likes to be in the mix of everything:)

Yo Gabba Gabba!!

Yesterday we took the boys to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live!  It was down town at the Murat and it was AWESOME!  We weren't sure how long Declan would last, this is the first time we've ever taken him to anything like this, but he did great.  He was pretty excited through out the show and even sang part of the bubble song:)  We got him a colored light stick, which he thinks is pretty cool!
Here's the boys before we left for Yo Gabba Gabba!

The boys with a big Muno:)

How great are the DJ Lance Rock glasses?!
BC and I wore them the whole time!

Here's DJ Lance Rock!

Conall is asleep and Declan didn't want to smile at the guy taking our picture!

Dad doing the dancey dance!
Declan finally put his glasses on at the end:)
Here's the famous beginning....Yoooo Gabba Gabba!

Such a strong guy pulling the apples and the wagon!
