Declan will try to pull himself up on anything around the house...bookshelves, drawers, my leg! Here he is caught in the act trying to pull himself up or pull the books the down! It's a good thing he's cute because he's ornery:)

A visit from Grandad & Gram

Grandad, Gram and cousin Emmie came down for a visit today. Emmie and Declan had a lot of fun together, he loved watching her run around. She even gave him a kiss...well, more like 6 because I couldn't get a picture the first 5 times:) It was a fun afternoon with love from Gram and tickles from Grandad!

BC hasn't been feeling well this week and the medicine that he took made him a bit drowsy. This is how he fell asleep last night!

Declan is trying so hard to pull himself on things lately, so I gave him a little help at the window yesterday.

He loved looking out and tapping on the glass:)

What a difference a day makes! Declan has mastered the ancient art of crawling! It's so fun to watch him crawl around and he doesn't get as frustrated when he can't get something, which is so nice:)

Here I come!

Here's a little footage of Declan crawling forward for the first time! He's been so close for so long and can go in reverse with the best of them, but watch out world he's moved his gear into drive! Good thing we baby proofed this weekend:)

Top o' the mornin' to ya!

Well, it's me first St. Patty's Day and me mama took me downtown to the St. Patrick's Day Parade! Being the wee lil' guy that I am, me irish eyes were smilin' as I listened to the bagpipes, flirted with the Cathedral High School Cheerleaders and meet US Olympic gymnast Samantha Peszek. Hope you all wore you green today and celebrated this fine Irish holiday:)

I'm 9 months old!

9 months old! We just can't believe it! Declan continues to grow and learn new things everyday. He's an expert at getting himself where he wants to go (not by crawling forward, but by spinning from his bum to his tummy back to his bum or crawling backwards). He's starting to successfully pull himself up on things and pull the photo albums off the shelves! He's even added some more food to his diet (refried beans and oatmeal). We just came back from the doctor (he got a clean bill of health) and he weighs 21 lbs 13 oz and is 29 1/4 inches long! She did say that he should be getting at least one 8 hour stretch of sleep...he gets about 3! We love when he chatters "mom mom" and "dad dad".

Bottom line, we think he's just awesome!

boy-icure

Yes, boy-icure is a made up word, but I didn't want to say manicure because he's just a little boy and manicures are for girls according to my husband! So this is how we keep his nails looking so spiffy:)

Which way to the beach dude?

Declan is ready for the sun and sand! These sunglasses are actually from a bulid-a-bear dog that our friend Jessica made him for Christmas. You'll have to excuse the tummy hanging out, I didn't notice it until after I took the picture:)

Peek-A-Boo!

Here is Declan's new favorite game...peek-a-boo! He normally does this with a shirt when we're shopping (it keeps him very busy, but I find myself being stared at as I walk through the store saying "where's Declan?"). Here he is showing his cousin Hannah how to play with a blanket!

Swing time!

Thanks to the warm weather, Declan and I were able to go for a walk to the park and visit the playground today! Here we are swinging, sorry for the bad picture, it's hard to take a picture of yourself while on a swing!

My guys

Declan and dad spent some QT hanging out last Saturday (I apologize for the horrible t-shirt that BC is wearing, I'm thinking I should try to shrink it or at least hide it in the back of his drawer). Good thing Dec isn't reading yet!Speaking of reading...here's dad and Declan with his favortie book before bed:)
