that's right...number eight! Declan's right lower incisor came in last Friday:) 8 teeth before his 1st birthday, which is 8 days away from today!!

Mama's new ride

Well actually it's Declan's new ride, I just get to drive it! They finally dropped it off to us last night (we bought it on Saturday) and the first place we drove to...Dairy Queen! BC's idea of course, but the Brownie Batter Blizzard we split was really good:) I'm really excited about our Pacifica, it has some awesome features and is so spacious. It's considered a crossover, so I'm no longer an SUV driver (I will most likely go back to one someday though). The best thing about it is that it's really safe, we've got precious cargo!! It is quite a bit bigger than my Bravada, so it's going to take me some time getting used to parking it and backing it out of our garage...watch out fence!

1 year ago today we moved into our first house! We love it and are so happy to call it our home.

Abigail's Birthday Party

Happy 1st birthday to Abigail Pettit! (Abigail's mom is Kelly Kurtz/Pettit...we did gymnastics and cheerleading together). They moved to Fishers this past winter from Myrtle Beach, so it's nice to have an old friend close by:)

Memorial Day

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend up at the lake. BC's family (the O'Rourke side) has had Gem Island in their family since 1889! It's a really cool place that BC grew up going to on Sylvan Lake. Declan got to spend lots of time with his cousins Kylie, Emily and Erin (5, 2, and 1) on the island. He wasn't too sure about the grass though:) He loved going on boat rides and even got to drive with Grandad!

BC's other grandparents, the Klein's, also live on Sylvan Lake so we spent Sunday afternoon over there with a bunch of the Klein family. It was a really great weekend and nice start to our crazy, busy summer!

I'm 11 months old!

11 months old! We just can't believe it...next month we'll be celebrating his 1st birthday (I really hope this month goes by slowly because I'm just not ready for him to be 1 yet)! Some of Declan's favorite things to do right now are to pull down all of my towels in the kitchen, empty out dad's sock drawer and look out the window. He spends so much time watching what's going on outside, it's so cute to sit back and watch. He's starting to try to stand and balance on his own, but hasn't taken any steps yet. He loves it when dad gets home from work...he crawls at top speed to see him:) And he's finally sleeping more! He's only getting up once (sometimes twice) a night to eat, which is wonderful. He's been spending quite a bit of time in the pool and is getting ready for swimming lessons next month. He's weighing in at 23 lbs, which is kind of surprising for as much as he moves around. He enjoys our daily walks and is still such a happy guy:) It was tough getting these pics, even with dad's help!
